Corrie Bond

While searching for some inspiration for future photo shoots, I discovered fashion photographer, Corrie Bond. This UK-based photographer is widely known for her work for Marie Claire, In-Style and New York Times. Her work has an admirable feminine quality, and consistently conveys timeless beauty. Bond strategically manipulates natural light and dewy shadows to delicately graze her subject matter. Through her compositions and editing style, Bond’s photographs whisper a soft, vintage feeling. Her editorials are light, breathtaking and a visual treat. Take a peak at her stunning work below and visit her website to see more work.

The Camera Collection

Happy Monday! Start your week off by checking out this fun video that features a collection of  different camera models throughout history!

Pascal Shirley

Loving these free spirited moments captured by photographer Pascal Shirley. They inspire us to explore new places and meet new people. Excuse me while I grab my camera and go have an adventure.

Sessun is a French brand founded by fashion designer, Emma Francois. The heavily vintage inspired silhouettes and prints delightfully compliment the small details and mixture of textures, giving the clothing a classical, yet urbanized vibe. Aside from the great cuts and quality this brand has to offer, their look books are to die for. The photography is absolutely phenomenal, an inspiration and totally completes the vision of the brand. The combination of the simplistic styling, brightly colored backgrounds and musty overlay truly bring out and showcase the garments of Sessun. Enjoy a visit to their website here and view their 2012 look book below!

Anna Szczekutowicz

Though Anna Szczekutowicz may be from the Jersey shore, her photography is anything but sleezy and bright orange. Her dreamy portraiture has a definite fashion feel to it, which is what initially drew me in. Her ability to express both the beauty of women as well as the beauty of the natural world, is absolutely breathtaking. We love her work, and hope that you do to!

Imagination Photography

Today I am very excited to share with you the work of my dear friends Janie and John Yoder of  Imagination Photography. Based out of Goshen, Indiana, this couple make it their mission to capture true love through creatively beautiful photographs. Although they do engagement and senior shoots, their focus is on taking exceptional wedding photos. With a style that is uniquely their own you can’t help but see why people are drawn to working with them. Their work is not only a reflection of genuine talent but also the love that these two have for each other.

Make sure you visit their blog to see their latest projects and enjoy!

This Modern Romance

Absolutely loving these beautiful photos from This Modern Romance. So elegant and dreamy. I basically spent all day looking through their photos and being inspired…Day well spent.

Happy Fashion Friday!

Clarence White

For us here at Florence and Millie, inspiration often comes from the past. We look back at the work that has been created in the past to inform and inspire exciting new creations. Clarence White created amazing images around the turn-of-the-century.White lived for must of his life in rural Ohio, which led him to largely photograph scenes of quiet rural life. His soft, painterly aesthetic often brings a spiritual essence to his exceptional photographs.

Paper Papier

We are all about artistic collaborations here on Florence & Millie. The recent editorial shoot between paper artist, Fideli Sundqvist, photographer, Maria Wretblad for Papier Mache, and stylist Saša Antic has really “wowed” us. You can never go wrong when combining lovely kids, great clothing, and enchanting artwork all topped off with splendid photography. Classical cuts for the kids play well with the overly exaggerated paper pieces to create a witty and lighthearted mood for the shoot. We are dying and falling in love all at once, but enough talk here are the photos!
