Misato Suzuk

Misato Suzuk is a Japanese artist who currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Both her paintings and illustrations demonstrate delicate, organic lines combined with a neutral color palette.  Although her preferred mediums are two-dimensional, her line work successfully creates shapely, bulbous forms. Subtle accents of ink splotches grace her surfaces, and add to the the soft and muted mood of her abstractions. Suzuk’s tranquil work is fluid and beautiful, making it a pleasure to view. Check out some of our favorites below and visit her website to see the rest of her work.

Shannon Lamb

Today we are featuring the lovely work of illustrator and graphic designer, Shannon Lamb. We especially are loving her wedding stationary designs! We love that lately wedding invites and save the dates are taking a more fun and whimsical design approach, and that many designers, like Shannon, are able to bring their awesome designs to the industry. Shannon’s invitation sets and photo save the dates were designed for the wedding stationary company Love Vs. Design (great site – check them out too!). Shannon does other amazing work besides wedding stationary, so be sure to check out her website!

See Scotty

Scotty Reifsnyder, of See Scotty Design & Illustration, is a visual adventurer. He created this wonderful children’s book that is based on the lyrics of a Johnny Cash song entitled “The Man Who Couldn’t Cry”. Very cool. The book has a die cut that runs throughout adding a dimension of interactivity for the reader. He even made an awesome animation of the book which you can see here.

Marc Johns

Start your week off right with these fun and clever illustrations by Marc Johns! (or as he likes to call them, “Serious Drawings”)

Julie Massy

We are really digging illustrations by Julie Massy today. Being an illustrator, Massy creates sharp and intricate line work within her pieces. Her faintly colored illustrations have similar qualities to photogravures, with the extra grain, tainted backgrounds, and washy shades of black. Massy’s work is focused on portraits that  carry graceful, audacious, and whimsy moods. Below are some of our favorite compositions done by Massy. Make sure you check out her website to see more of her work.
