The Love Shop

Let’s be honest. Monday isn’t everyone’s favorite day of the week. If you are having one of those Monday’s, hopefully these  inspiring and motivating prints from The Love Shop will give you a little boost to the start of your week!

Nifty Kidstuff by Caitlin Betsy Bell

We’re lucky enough to know the next artist we’re featuring on Florence & Millie. She graduated from SCAD last year with a degree in Fibers (yes, that’s real) and is off doing big things in Vermont. Aside from teaching and working on a book, she owns her own business: Nifty Kidstuff. Caitlin has a wonderful Etsy shop and website, which feature her adorable play toys made with all natural fibers. She also quilts. Seriously, this girl is crafty.

Vintage Pyrex

If we had lots of spare money and cabinet space, we’d start a collection of vintage Pyrex dishes. They’re practical, whimsical, durable and timeless. And there seems to be and endless array of collections: butter dishes, cassesrole dishes, mixing bowls, tea cups, salad plates, saucers, gravy boats, etc. Literally everything your vintage little kitchen would ever dream of.   There’s tons of these for sale on Etsy and probably a few gems hiding in your local antique shops. Don’t feel bad dropping a few bucks on these–they’ll last you longer than your plasticware, and they’re far too lovely to pass up.

Part One: Oh My Deer Handmades

So, we’re coming back in full force!  We’ve a got a two-part post split between today and tomorrow. Why ever would we need two posts? Today and tomorrow we’ll be featuring bride and groom of a most wonderfully talented couple.  Today, we’ll start with the most lovely Chelsea Petaja.  Chelsea lives in Nashville, TN with her husband Tec.

Chelsea is an artist with a paint brush and is fabulous at watercolor.  She specializes in typography and blurring the lines between illustration and graphic design.  And, not only is she incredibly talented at designing, picking beautiful color combinations and just being generally crafty: she also runs a blog and Etsy shop where you can follow her beautiful life and buy her work!

Needless to say, we’re impressed and hope you are too!

Check out her blog here.

And her Etsy shop here.

Etsy Shop of the Week: Lesa Likes

Hello friends!  Today we found the shop Lesa Likes.  Lesa lives in Brisbane, Australia. Lesa makes these beautiful broches and pins using felt, lace and beautiful little wood frames.  We absolutely love these. Our generation doesn’t really wear broches anymore, and we think it would be lovely to bring them back.  What do you say? Okay, well at the very least check these out and fall in love.

You can visit Lesa’s Etsy shop here.

Etsy Shop of the Week: Skrynka

Oh how we are loving the adorable embroidered jewelry and home decor from Skrynka! The etsy shop is run by Natalka, from Ukraine, and everything is hand embroidered, which is just amazing. We love everything about this shop and think it is so lovely and charming. So if you’re looking for a little charm in your life or need a great gift to give someone, then you should check out Skrynka here!

Vintage Confections

Well, with Valentine’s Day only two weeks away, we thought we would provide you with some more insight!  We found this adorable shop Vintage Confections that has all sorts of delicious and quirky lollipops.  They have mustaches (in any flavor), sea salt caramel pops, fancy filigree numbers (as shown below) and even more.  We’re pretty blown away with how adorable they are.  So, if you’re wanting to get something sweet for someone special we suggest you take a look at their Etsy shop here!

Etsy Shop of the Week: Kitchen Culinaria

This week’s Etsy shop is a vintage goods store!  We’re particularly fond of glassware and dish sets.  Being in the kitchen is always a fun thing and is made more fun by the ability to use cute dishes.  So, Kitchen Culinaria is the place to go.  Kitchen Culinaria is the work of Stephanie from Lexington, KY. She carefully selects each piece that comes into her shop to past on the best quality, mid-century cookware.  We hope you love it as much as we do! Check out her shop here.

Etsy Shop of the Week: Arminho

Paper lovers and journal enthusiasts, rejoice!  Our Etsy shop of the week is none other than Arminho (Paper Ephemera) by a lovely couple from Portugal.  The shop features small, handheld journals and notebooks.  As well as these really neat wooden pencil holders.  Pretty much they’ve got that sweet vintage, handmade feel we’ve come to love.

Check out their Etsy shop!
